Our Terms & Conditions

  1. By placing an order with The Surrey Wine Cellar you are confirming that you are 18 or older. It is illegal for us to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
  2. When you give The Surrey Wine Cellar your credit or debit card details you are confirming that you are either the card holder, or that you have permission from the card holder to use the card for the purpose of ordering wine.
  3. No payment will be taken from your card until the goods you have ordered are dispatched from our store, or your monthly subscription payment (if appropriate) is due. Please note, when you place an order, you can opt in to save your payment details for future purposes. We will securely store your card details so it’s easier for you to place any future orders, but we will never take payment from your card unless you authorise us to do so.
  4. Any information stored by us is done so securely and privately. Please see our privacy policy for more details.
  5. We reserve the right to cancel any orders we cannot fulfil for any reason. If your order is cancelled we will contact you to explain why and refund any money you have paid us for that order.
  6. Our standard delivery time in the UK is 3-5 working days. The delivery charge is £3.99. Orders made in the UK that are over £100 are eligible for free delivery. Next day delivery is available for the charge of £3.99. Deliveries made outside of the UK, may require a higher delivery charge, which will be determined at checkout. These orders may also be subject to longer delivery times.
  7. Delivery dates and times may vary depending on your location, or unforeseen circumstances. However we will do our best to keep you informed and notify you of any delays in your delivery.
  8. We aim to meet all delivery dates on a best endeavours basis. On the off chance, your order goes missing, or we are advised by our courier that it couldn’t be delivered, we will send you a replacement order as soon as we can. If we are unable to dispatch replacement goods within 7 days we will offer you a full refund. For these purposes, delivery takes place when products are left at your delivery address or with someone else in accordance with your instructions.
  9. For your own safety we reserve the right to contact your card issuer for the purposes of carrying out security checks.
  10. Any promotions, discounts or vouchers are single use only and not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion, discount or voucher unless otherwise stated.
  11. Taste Journey customers and Fine Wine Bottle Club members are required to give one month’s notice should they wish to cancel their subscription. Once a notice period of one month has been made, The Surrey Wine Cellar will cancel their membership and no further payments will be taken after their final delivery. The customer will be made aware of their final delivery date at the time of their cancellation.
  12. Products offered by us are displayed on our website(s) in ‘real time’. This is to say that any product may be withdrawn from offer without notice.
  13. If for some reason we’re unable to fulfil your exact order, we will contact you to let you know and offer suggestions of an alternative wine that you may like (of the same value). If you do not wish to substitute your order, we will cancel your order and issue a full refund if payment has already been taken.
  14. We guarantee you’ll enjoy the wines you buy from us – so if you tell us that a wine was faulty, or just not to your taste, you can return your bottle within 30 days of purchase. To learn more about returns, please see our returns policy.
  15. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. In the event of any claim or dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, and any orders placed thereunder, the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction over them.
